“I have got to say that this was one of the most enjoyable races I have aver taken part in”.

"Just like to extend my thanks to you for being so very brave in putting on an execellent race in the most difficult of circumstances; I loved it! It would have been easy to have given up after the heavy snow fall and sitting here in coniston I thought you all quite mad to keep the race on and i nearly deferred my place to 2014, so glad I didn't! Thanks once again for seeing beyond the problems and staging such a great race-you should feel very proud of yourselves." - Gordon

"I have just run the above race and would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you and well done! I have been running for 20 years and I have got to say that was one of the most enjoyable races I have ever taken part in. You did warn people on the lead up to the race about the weather conditions which then gave people the choice to run or not. I must admit I was a bit wary but glad I took the decision to run. The scenery was spectacular, straight out of Narnia, everyone was very friendly and my friend and myself managed to stay upright! We were at the very end but that didn't matter to us we just had such a fantastic time. Once again thank you" - Annie Burns Nidd

"Thank you so much for putting the event on today. I can honestly say it was the most enjoyable race I've ever done, and the conditions made it special (I've never been over-taken in a race by skiers before!). Having spoken to a few other runners, I know they were as appreciative as I am of all your hard work. I know it must have been a real worry over the past few days for you, and thank you for keeping the website so regularly updated - I didn't decide to run until eleven this morning! All in all, it's been a wonderful day - you should be very proud of yourselves. Thank you, and see you again next year" - John

"A big thank you for putting on this event in very difficult weather conditions. My friend and I are very novice runners and thought we'd use this opportunity to start tapering for our very first marathon in a couple of weeks. Although the run was harder than we had anticipated it was worth it for the views, it really was magical. Thank you for all your hard work it really was appreciated." - Jill Howarth & Linda Francis
